I was born and raised in Oregon City, Oregon and graduated from the University of Oregon in 1973. As a high school student my parents took me and my sister to Europe and a life long love affair with Italy began for me. I spent my Junior year in Pavia, Italy and upon graduation I returned to work in Cortina d’Ampezzo, a ski resort in NE Italy where by chance I met my wife, Randy from Woodside, CA and we married in 1974. We raised our 3 children in Lake Oswego, OR and then Encinitas, CA. We started visiting Sun Valley in 1993 and moved here full time from La Jolla, CA in June, 2013, having attended St Thomas for many years whenever we were in the Valley. I have been in the commercial real estate business since December, 1985 and have operated my own company since 1994 and enjoy the creativity and independence of my business. I am excited to serve on the Vestry at St. Thomas and look forward to learning and contributing to the church.
Wally has been active at St. Thomas for 12+ years. When he and his family returned to the valley in 2000, they discovered the welcoming community at St. Thomas. Wally hung his shingle as a golf management consultant, which he continues today. In 2004, he took a hiatus from consulting to be Executive Director of the BCRD. Helen and he have three adult children, Jackson, Rob and Marly. Before Sun Valley, Helen and Wally lived in Cambridge, MA, where they met in 1981 at Jack’s Saloon and married in 1988 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. At that time, Wally, fresh out of the U. of Chicago with an MBA after his undergrad days at Dartmouth College, was working in finance in Boston. Today, he enjoys Fr. Ken and the people of St. Thomas and attends 8:00 services, sometimes serving as lector. He hopes St. Thomas will continue to inspire our parishioners and the community-at-large – through leadership, ministries and resources – to understanding, cooperation, quiet confidence, growth and peace against a backdrop of Anglican ideals and spirituality.

Judianne was raised in Tacoma, Washington. She spent late high-school years at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs where she and her brother continued their training in figure skating, which culminated in 1964 as a member of the Olympic Team. Thanks to a scholarship to Colorado College, she graduated in 1964 with a B.A. in German. In late 1977 she and her family moved from California to Sun Valley, seeking a better environment to raise their three daughters. While in Sun Valley, Judianne has had multiple careers: owner/manager of a hotel complex, travel agent, manager of a large real estate firm, private CFO of a local development company and most recently the Parish Administrator of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Over the past 30 years she has been involved with many charitable organizations, including the Moritz Hospital Auxiliary, the Community Library, the Senior Connection, and the Sage School.

I was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and attended University of Pittsburgh and Allegheny College. After school I was fortunate to find my “Dream Job” in the Public Relations Department of a Pittsburgh Corporation, working closely with a wonderful mentor, and connected to The Pittsburgh Press Club. In later years I worked in college administration, and briefly as a stock broker. I met my husband, Dr. James DeVito, in St. Augustine where he had been practicing medicine and teaching medical students for a few decades. He loved the west and on one of our visits to Sun Valley, we met Dr. Moritz and Bud Purdy, who encouraged Jim to take over a medical practice that had recently been vacated. Happily this came to pass, and we relocated to Sun Valley. Unhappily, Jim died a few years later, but I chose to stay because of lovely friendships, and the magnificent wilderness. The rest is history:)
Margie Gould was born and raised in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Following high school she attended Ohio Wesleyan University where she met Roger Gould. Following graduation they were married and settled in Shaker Heights, Ohio where their two children, Christine and Jeremy were born. Roger was recruited by a bank in Chicago so the family moved to Winnetka, IL, a suburb of Chicago. In 1987 Margie decided to further her education and earned a Master of Science in Communications from Northwestern University. Their introduction to Sun Valley was on ski vacations after their daughter settled here. Margie and Roger now live in West Ketchum. Their daughter Christine lives in Ketchum with her husband, Tyler Davis-Jeffers and their three daughters, Charlotte, Norah and Blakeslee. Their son Jeremy and his fiancé live in Tampa, FL and plan to marry in September.

I was born and lived in Hollywood, California through WWII. We then moved to the Pasadena area where I continued my education earning an Associate of Arts. I spent two years as a dental assistant and after graduation was a bookkeeper for a CPA. I married and moved to Davos, Switzerland. I lived there for four years. When we could not have children I returned to California. Later I remarried, returned to college, received my BA, and began my teaching career. Then I earned my MA in education. My husband passed away suddenly just as I completed my master’s degree. After 25 years I took early retirement, moved to Gig Harbor, WA, bought and remodeled a home. Three years later I relocated to Sun Valley and have been here ever since. Within a year I joined St Thomas Church. I served on Father Charlie Burger’s vestry at the time the church expansion was being considered. This was a very interesting time of change. I have sung in the church choir from its beginning and have served on two discernment committees.
I was born, raised and educated in South Africa. Upon graduation I left for Europe and then on to Canada where I married my wife Suzie and we had two wonderful daughters, Candice (a member, with her family at St Thomas) and C.J. who resides with her family in London and members at Holy Trinity, Claygate. We spent 13 years in Toronto where I was CEO of a large Canadian printer before moving to Los Angeles in 1983 where I became a partner in Anderson Lithograph Company. We sold the company in 1996 and since that time I have been a private investor with businesses primarily on the West Coast. We purchased a second home in Sun Valley in 2006 after having visited for many years and moved here permanently in 2012. I invested in the successful magazine, SVPN, on arrival here and enjoy the exciting social, outdoor and business life that our Valley is so famous for. I look forward to the possibility of serving on the Vestry at St Thomas’ and would hope to continue the growth of our church, providing a beacon of hope to our valley and a shining example for all residents and visitors to this remarkable place that we are so blessed to call home.
I was born and grew up in Southern California, attended and graduated from Stanford University, raised three children in the Los Angeles area, married Pete in 1976 and thirty years ago we moved to this valley. It is our great good luck that our children followed us to Idaho and love living here as much as we do. I have served on the Sun Valley Center for the Arts Board of Trustees, the Community School Board of Trustees, the St. Luke’s Wood River Volunteer Committee and currently am on the Board of the St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation. I have been on the St. Thomas Altar Guild and am now serving on the St. Thomas Flower Guild. I look forward to becoming a member of our Vestry and so greatly admire all that our church and it’s members do to contribute to the life of our community.

I was born in Dillon, Montana, but my family relocated to Iowa when I was a small child. After finishing college in Missouri, I moved to New York City, where I worked first for the National Council of Churches and then for the College Board. In 1980 I married Todd, who was with the State Department, and moved to Washington, DC. There I worked for the National Association for Foreign Student Affairs when we weren’t living abroad. We retired to Sun Valley in 2004 after having vacationed here for several years. Between us we have three children and four grandchildren, all of whom love the fact that we live in Sun Valley. One of my great life experiences was attending the General Convention of The Episcopal Church in Salt Lake City last summer. I feel so good about our church, both nationally and locally.
Alyson was born and raised in Ketchum, and began attending St. Thomas as a child. She attended both Hemingway and the Community School before attending Middlebury College in Vermont where she received her BA in Psychology. In the past two years she has been involved in the Children’s and Family Ministries Committee and Sunday School. Professionally she has been working at her family’s restaurants, The Pioneer Saloon and the Kneadery, for almost 20 years, and owned two other Ketchum restaurants, il Naso and Boca. She is passionate about helping children develop faith in and outside of church.
