St Thomas’ Columbarium is a modern-day alternative to the church cemetery. It is a consecrated resting place where a grouping of niches and urns hold the ashes of deceased communicants. In addition to housing 94 niches, the Columbarium includes a memorial plaque with space for 56 nameplates. This plaque is provided for those communicants who wish to have their ashes scattered or inurned elsewhere.
The location of the Columbarium is on the upper level, on the south side of the building overlooking Trail Creek. Teak benches and an iron gate define the area and provide a place for quiet reflection.
The operation and maintenance of the Columbarium are governed by a Charter Committee, appointed by the Rector and approved by the Vestry.
Making a reservation in the Columbarium is a gift to those we love; sharing with them the knowledge of where we wish our remains to rest.
